Rescue Rally Judging

Judging Guidelines

  1. Read the scenario– really this is key.
  2. Read the scorecard completely before you watch the video or start assigning scores and writing feedback.
  3. When judging, remember you aren't comparing the submissions against each other. Each should be judged only against their interpretation of the scenario.
-The difference in how the teams approach the scenario is not relevant.
  4. Do your best to leave constructive feedback, you don't need to write a paragraph, even a sentence is good enough. You can callout something the team did well, or mention an area of improvement, both types of feedback are welcome.

Whats a full-time Judge?

Being a full-time judge is a multi-hour commitment that you can do entirely from home! To be considered a full-time judge simply submit a thoughtful and complete scorecard for all of the competitor videos throughout the competition.

Estimated at ~22 videos, 5-15min in length each.

Does my score count?

Absolutely. Even if you only judge one video from one of the scenarios, every score counts towards the teams total. The only requirement is that you include some amount of constructive written feedback in each section.

What happens with my feedback?

All of the feedback is going to be given to the teams privately, and the best feedback will be included in master versions of the training materials at the end of the event. Your constructive feedback can benefit climbers later!
