What are the main differences between the Pfanner Arborist Chainsaw Pants and the Pfanner Gladiator Chainsaw Pants?
The Arborist version features stretch-air fabric on both the front and back. This makes them more climber friendly. The Gladiator pants have an extremely tough cordura material on the front, making them much more abrasion resistant. This makes them better for ground and forestry work.

Awesome Chainsaw Pants - 07/06/2016

I have really enjoyed using these chainsaw pants this summer. Nothing is going keep you cool but the way I look at it, I would rather be a little uncomfortable all day wearing these then be unbearable wearing pants and chaps at the same time. Any way, these pants have been a great addition to my PPE.
Awesome except my butt is cold - 01/06/2016
These pants fit great. They offer a bit more flexibility than other pairs I've tried. They also help keep you warm.
Downsides: No protection from the cold on the rear (butt). It's a very thin, stretchy material that allows more flexibility, but has ZERO protection from cold wind. Even with long underwear on underneath.
Great quality all around, durable construction and wear. Comfortable, mostly, while climbing. But would not buy again (my butt is cold and they cost 300$)

I usually climb in khaki cargo pants so I was a little nervous about buying these pants after reading the reviews about them being a little heavy. After getting them I dont have to worry anymore! They fit very similar to my cargos and the material on the back makes them very comfortable temp wise. Also the security of having them on is great. I know you shouldn't cut by your legs as a rule but anyone whos limb walked at all can tell you easier said then done!

Just got these. So far so good. They do seem a little heavy and think that in the heat of the summer they may be a little hot. But they are comfy and my wife says they look good.
