Yale Kernmaster Orange 12mm Static Rope
Kernmaster static line from Yale Cordage has a unique design for static rappelling construction. Kernmaster™ utilizes a 48-strand solution dyed polyester braided cover (mantle), but deviates from the standard or historical parallel, bundled core construction of nylon. The core employs a steam-stabilized, braided nylon core which maximizes energy absorption, eliminates in-field hardening, enhances working flexibility and minimizes core fiber fatigue. Also available with one or two sewn eyes.

Nice rope but... - 04/04/2015

Last summer I had a hank of this that was my go to for rope wrench work positioning. It feels really great in the hand and is a treat to use.
But, I have a new job and a new length of it, and now I can fully open my hitch and not descend as responsive as I would like. I don't know why this is, that it work so well, and now not, but it remains so. I've pretty much stopped using it for this reason
Too big for most hardware - 01/20/2015
This rope is too big for most hardware: RW ZK2, Hitch Hiker... It works but is so tight that tending is difficult. In fact, it is so tight in the RW that it almost holds my weight. I can fully open my hitch and it still would not let me go down.
Don't get me wrong, it is a GREAT rope. Just buy 11mm if you intend on using it for SRT. I am now using my half inch for static rigging and it is working super well for that.
Don't buy! - 07/18/2014

I've used kernmaster for about six months with the wrench... kernmaster is awesome but do not buy this for th rope wrench in 12mm! I will be buying the kernmaster safari!for me it's almost useless.. I can't work srt from the wrench..( I don't footlocker but it's too heavy for that) and it's not what you want for a dry line although it does work good for dry it's just way too much for drt.
Great SRT-RW Line - 03/02/2013

I've been climbing on this everyday for three months. This rope feels amazing, soft with little stretch. Is does not harden as advertised and knots great. It is a full 1/2" (12.7mm), so its tight with my Kong Futura and the RW ZK2. This is a problem when you have a shallow rope angle, or are try to ascend without weight on the rope. Even though this is a heavy rope it doesn't act like it. Slack is always coiling up on suckers and won't fall out.
it interacts great with Armor-Prus and Bee-line. I will definitely buy again, but in 11mm. Great SRT line.
