Kioritz Backpack Soil Injector
The 1-Two Root Injector from Nu-Arbor is a revolutionary backpack soil injector. It is designed to take the place of the classic Kioritz soil injector which is no longer produced. This backpack injector provides a self-contained method of sub-soil application of systemic insecticides. The injector is easily transported, with no high pressure spray rig required.
Injection depth: 0 - 10 inches
Includes: Backpack, Soil Injector, & Traditional Spray Wand
Capacity: 4 gallons
Delivers: 1/4 oz per pump
The backpack design of the 1-Two injector addresses many common complaints about the original Kioritz soil injector. This backpack injector is more ergonomic because it allows the applicator to stay more upright when soil injecting. The backpack design also allows the applicator to carry much more liquid in reserve. This allows larger scale soil injection projects to be more productive and profitable.
The 1-Two injector is based off the Kioritz Soil Injector concept of a completely self contained method of sub-soil application of systemic insecticides. This allows the applicator to avoid or minimize many of the problems associated with spraying pesticides. It is also suitable for injecting concentrated liquid fertilizers. The injector is easily transported, with no hose or high pressure spray rig required. Chemical or fertilizer is delivered in a concentrated dose which reduces the weight of the unit and reduces the frequency of refilling.
Important Note: Pressurizing the back pack is NOT necessary or recommended. Gravity will generally push product from the tank to the probe.

worthless - 03/15/2016
Very leaky, to the point that it's unusable. I returned it and got another unit that also leaks. A waste of time.
Works well but could be better - 09/10/2015
Work great but it does develop leaks over time.
Nu-arbor really needs to work on the documentation for this thing. Their staff gives great advice over the phone but the manual is really really lacking. Is it worth it to spend $100 in parts to try and fix leaks? hard to tell with the lack of instructions, etc
Wish it had a foot pedal to help get the probe into the ground
Ready to save Hemlocks - 03/20/2015
Shipped fast! Will be using in very steep and rugged terrain treating hemlocks. Glad to have a backpack unit for this.

Best option - 01/05/2014
I have owned this injector for several years (ordered when first released). It is the best (only) option now that the kioritz is no longer available. Initially I had issues with the injector leaking from the top of the t bar. Nuarbor sent a replacement, it worked for a little while, but now it is an issue again. If I was strictly using this for fertilizer, I wouldn't be so concerned. I just don't like bathing in safari. I am going to contact nuarbor about this soon, but it is a pain for something that is so expensive. The other issue I have had is a cycles to failure issue on the spring on the plunger. I've had to replace it several times (it is always good to have one or two spares on hand while doing a job). I do like the backpack and the larger volume capacity over the kioritz.
