Reviews for Rockman Dielectric Climbing Helmet

3.4 out of 5 star average customer rating based on 7 reviews

easy to see and feel it is not top of the line quality - 03/07/2018

First impression is that the helmet does not seem to be durably constructed. The head size adjusting mechanism seems ready to break at any moment. There were no instructions for how to install the chin strap. I do like the fact that it is lightweight for climbing and to reduce neck pain and stiffness.

Falls apart - 05/07/2016

Well I wanted this one to work out great, a hard hat with a chin strap for under $30 seemed great for an extra hat for ground guys. But after about a month the strapping mechanism kept falling out of the holes because they weren't secured in there very well. At first I just got annoyed at the guy that was complaining because of who he was, then I thought I fixed it but it kept happening to him. I decided to try it on myself to prove he was somehow wearing it wrong and the thing just kept falling apart. Obviously the design needs some work. ended up settling for the $90 hats for the groundies and kasks for junior climbers. except the guy with the dreads, only the pacific fits his big head...

You get what you pay for. My adjustment knob broke after I dropped it.

Despite its appearance having an unmistakable resemblance to the band 'Devo', this helmet is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend purchasing the Rockman mesh visor, carrier and earmuffs with it. The the visors lip seals with the lip of the helmet keeping sawdust out and looks badass. I rate it 4/5 due to the questionable quality of the tightening ratchet. I use this helmet for power line work but switch to my Kask helmet when climbing.

Considered buying the PETZL Vertex Best, but price difference just doesn't justify the difference you get in quality.

The Rockman has a durable inner harness with reliable chinstrap. Just personal preference, and perhaps not 'stylish' but i much prefer the small brim of the Rockman to the brimless PETZL. I find it makes a big difference in the full sun.

Save your money. This hard hat is more than serviceable

This helmet isn't by far the nicest one to look at but if you're looking for functionality and reliability at an affordable price then go for it you will not be disappointed.. "I approve this review"..
