GRCS: Good Rigging Control SystemFree Shipping to USA ... Ships immediately!
The Good Rigging Control System is the ultimate tool for lowering heavy loads in a safe and controlled fashion. Developed by Greg Good of Wisconsin, the GRCS has two settings, providing a 44:1 and a 22:1 mechanical advantage, and two specialized spools: one for lowering and one for lifting. It has a dead lift rating of 3,000 lbs., able to handle the heaviest sections of timber. You can take 5 full wraps with a 3/4" rope.
Included with your GRCS purchase:
- GRCS Base, Strapping, and Bar
- Interchangeable Lowering Bollard
- Updated winch: a true "arborist" winch with a longer drum
Optional Accessories (which can be purchased from the drop-down menu):
- GRCS Drill Driver
- GRCS Truck Mount
- GRCS Visor Plate (for heavy duty removals)
The GRCS Device attaches firmly to tree trunk. The unit features a winch that separates from the mount for easy setup. The tree mount is hinged to provide secure attachment to a wide range of stem diameters. Rubber feet on the tree mount protect the trunk of trees being pruned and allow the winch to be mounted on a tree not being removed. The rope brake is interchangeable and made from aluminum to better dissipate friction heat. Multiple fair leads position the rope on the winch drum to keep operation tangle free. The 2 speed, self-tailing winch allows a single ground person to lift, lower, and lock off tremendous loads quickly, safely, and without tying knots.

It's a portable crane! - 08/04/2016

If you're just plain sick and tired of using fiddle blocks. you'll love this thing to death.
I can't believe how much time and effort this rigging tool has saved me over the past year. I no longer anguish over those large tip-tie lifting jobs. I look forward to them now.
Lifts huge limbs with ease. The two-speed winch makes taking up slack a breeze. Cinch those running bowlines around a branch without even worrying about those pesky little branches. It will cinch down that running bowline no matter what is in the way.
Just be sure to use a redirect above the GRCS to allow the rigging rope to enter directly through the rope guides at the top of the mounting plate. This is a MUST. I use a TreeStuff TRex ring and pocket sling mounted several feet above the GRCS for this purpose.
Best Tool Ever - 07/13/2016

This tool fortuitously arrived the same day as the worst storm in 15 years. I've had it 5 days and used it to pull 8 trees off houses. Forget about hauling heavy equipment to the job, this fits in the trunk of my Volkswagen. Get the tree down while you're there for the estimate, then clean it up next week. Who needs a crane? Get one, you won't miss the money. Nice work, Greg.

Great tool have used it with additional pulleys to pull 16' x 16" pine logs onto trailer. Also created mount on my chipper to help there too.
Drill Driver - 01/05/2016

The first time we used this was to pull a very large "tri dominent" oak tree together for installing Cobra. The Milwaukee Hawg worked great and made quick work of this.
GRCS Truck Mount - 01/05/2016

We have a receiver hitch welded to the right and left sides of our rear mount bucket just under the deck. This works great for the truck mount. The mount has already paid for it self.
