Reviews for Stein Skyshot Throw Weight

4.4 out of 5 star average customer rating based on 10 reviews

I probably only sent my 16oz stein throw bag airborne a dozen times and it popped when it landed on asphalt one time. I can’t believe how weak this bag is.

My favorite throw weights by far. I originally bought one to replace a bag I broke and found I like it better than my other throw bags. I ended up replace some of my old ones with Stine bags.

Love / Hate - 10/17/2016

I really liked these weights when I first got them, but after 6 shots with the 16oz I ordered it tore the outside fabric, then with the next shot it ripped the balloon open. I thought maybe it was just a bad throw bag but a coworker ordered a 14oz the next week and had the same thing happen to him. Maybe the heavier weights are less durable because I had a 12oz that lasted for a good month before it broke.

The Stein SkyShot is a great product, would highly recommend for any tree service. Holds up really well, and looks good too!

Great for tip advancement - 02/29/2016

Carry the 8oz on my saddle for tip advancement. great and barely notice it there till I need it.

This is a great little bag. I purchased the 12oz and have found that it is the first one I grab for most of my line setting. Seems to be pretty durable. I will def buy more in different weights.

10oz - great throw weight - 08/18/2015

Good shape, love the loop at the bottom for quickly attaching rope with a carabiner. The ring attachment point is a good size, too - can easily fit my fingers through with the throwline for quick knot tying.

My favorite throw ball so far - 06/04/2015

This is the first Stein ball I've purchased, I like it a lot. It seems to be really tuff and well stitched. It hit the sidewalk from about 80ft up and took the impact like a champ. I ordered it in 8 oz, next time I get one it will probably be a 10 or 12 oz. But I would highly recommended this little guy.

Best throw weight I've ever owned - 05/14/2015

Super Quality, nice shape, feels very well made, and has a nice abrasion coating on the fabric. This is a great throw weight.
