The low-friction Mips layer between the helmet and your noggin allows for the helmet to move in multiple directions, reducing the rotational forces transmitted to your head and injuring your brain. Couple the Mips Safety System with a robust ABS shell, ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 Class E electrical testing, and an easily adjustable ratcheting headband, the CAMP Ares Mips is a great all-around helmet.
