Tree Worker Training Class

02/10/09

TreeStuff.com is hosting a tree worker training class this spring in Indianapolis.  This class is geared towards making professional chain saw users safer and more efficient.  The class will be taught by Tim Ard of Forest Applications, Inc.  Tim has trained thousands of end users in safe and productive use of chain saws and power equipment.  Traveling nation-wide, he is sponsored nationally by Husqvarna and Oregon Saw Chain.  His training experience is sought after for personal presentations to over 6,000 people per year plus appearances on lawn and garden television shows such as The Victory Garden and BackYard America and most recently Ask This Old House.

The class will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2009.  Rain or shine.  Registration is $50 per person.  Group rates are available.  6 CEUS will be offered to Certified Arborists.

Topics covered:   Hazard recognition, P.P.E., saw chain selection and sharpening, notches and hinges, bucking, limb removal, lifting and body mechanics, working storm damage and hazard cleanup, brush and right-of-way techniques, as well as planning the work area.
