Designed with simplicity in mind, the Petzl Spin S1 Open has a triple-action lock for the side plate that is secure and easy to use, even with thick gloves on. Once you open the side plate it's a breeze to install a rope up to 11mm on the high-efficiency sheave. Not only can you open the side plate while anchored, you can also open the gated swivel to make the Petzl Spin S1 Open attachable to a wide variety of products.
