Hi, I'm Nick Bonner for TreeStuff.com. And today, we're talking Studson. And you might notice that I got this brand new helmet right here, and I'm not gonna lie to you. It's pretty sweet. It's got some new styling, it looks totally different from what's out on the market. And honestly, I think it's pretty cool. But on top of that, it is jammed full of new features and technology. So let me walk you through it right away, you're going to notice this awesome ABS trim, giving it that cool look, it's got this integrated front visor, it's going to keep the rain and the sun off your face in your eyes. And then on the back here, this is actually removable, and the helmet comes with a flat back, which is the same black style trim. But if you don't like this back visor that will keep the sun off your neck work. So you want to install a senior unit or Bluetooth communications on it, you can actually replace this black piece with a flat piece of trim. This helmet comes with and without vents. And it has standard held two or three m style earmuff adapters that you can slide your existing ear protection right into So right off the bat, it's going to be compatible with all of the normal PP accessories like Bluetooth and ear protection that you're used to. It's got headlamp straps, those aren't a big deal for arborists, but they are helpful for construction and other industries. So I understand why Studson included them. As we start to look at the inside we'll talk about the suspension system and the chin strap first. One thing that's so cool is that this has one of these really innovative fidlock magnetic buckles. So simply by placing it near it, it's going to connect, it's not going to come undone, no amount of twisting or pulling can accidentally make it separate. But when you push the magnets away, you're able to open the internal locking mechanism, which then relax. As simple as putting this here. I think that's super cool. It's definitely better than those little plastic things in a pinch in your neck skin. And things like that. The suspension system features a one hand adjustable ratcheting dial, which is really nice, that's going to come down here, and then also the front and back of the suspension have height adjustment. So it's going to ship all the way in and you can actually pop that out if you have a bigger head like me. Looking at inside, you're gonna see the shock absorption. There's actually a couple of things going on here. You have right here this is called x shield. This is a liner that is really similar to MIPS technology, which is an anti rotational technology to prevent concussions. So when you get whacked in the head, usually your head snaps over to the side, which can is what causes that concussion is shaking your brain or causes neck injury. This liner will separate from the GPS phone. And ideally allow the helmet to rotate while keeping your head straight or reducing the amount of twisting or snapping that's happening to your head and neck. This is been proven to reduce concussions. And you can find MIPS shield acts and similar technology in a wide variety helmet. So I'm really excited to see this coming to the arborist industry. The APS foam, which is this great phone that you find in most helmets is a really great shock absorber and can help prevent injury. But what's really great about this helmet is that it has also a koroyd liner inside of it. And that's a three piece koroyd liner that goes 123. So you have the two diagonal pieces to protect you again from getting whacked in the side of the head. And the one on Fox koroyd is different from ups and it allows air to just flow right through it because koroyd is essentially a bunch of straws that are laminated together in an extruded product. So maybe we can pop a picture koroyd up here on the side or something and show it to you. But unlike GPS where air can flow through it, because it's a dense foam koroyd is really breathable, and cool. So it's gonna make this helmet much more comfortable than something that was solely made out of VPS Yeah, I mean, it's it's really cool. I think this Studson helmet is new. It's innovative, it looks awesome. And hopefully it gives you an opportunity to stand out and keep yourself safer. for up to twice me Can't believe twice me technology. You probably wondered what this logo is that twice me technology. Twice me as a global brand. It's not produced by sunset. It's licensed by Swanson. And what it does is it uses a no power near field identification or RFID chip. So you download as the owner of the helmet you download the twice me app and you use it to encode your personal data to the helmet. You're not sending your data to twice me it's not stored on any server. You choose one data to include whether that's the address or phone number of your wife, allergies, your insurance information, whatever you want, and you encode it directly to the helmet, then if a first responder or a co worker finds you you're unconscious or hurt, they need to help you. They can hold any modern cell phone directly to the helmet. And it's going to pull up your information, no app necessary for them. And it's going to pull your location from their phone, send it to them as a text message in a nice easy way for them to share with first responders or emergency workers. So by using twice me are able to keep all of your own personal safety data on your helmet in a place where people are going to be able to find it, which is, like I said, pretty awesome. So check out Studson it's the newest helmet on the market and it has a wide variety of technology that you're not finding anywhere else in arborists helmets, and we're really happy to launch this here at treestuff.com Thanks for watching.
